Classifying Tank

The Superior Classifying Tank gives operations precise control over sand gradation, helping produce consistent, in-spec material for demanding washing applications.

Designed to separate material by settling rate, the Classifying Tank helps operations manage changing deposits, customer requirements, and production targets with greater accuracy. Adjustable valves, automated controls, rising current cells, and customizable configurations help improve classification efficiency, reduce manual blending, and keep sand production consistent shift after shift. Superior describes the system as a way to control gradation and produce in-spec product, with automated separation and adjustable configurations for changing demands.

Which classifying tank do you need?

That depends on how often you move it. The stationary tank runs from 8 by 20 feet up to 12 by 48 feet with 6 to 22 stations, single or double. The semi-portable version is skid mounted and prewired. The portable tank sits on a fifth wheel hitch with air brakes and leveling jacks.

All of them sort sand by settling rate through adjustable valves and rising current cells, and pair with a fine material washer or Aggredry washer. See all our washing systems. We sell Superior from Ashley, PA and support it up and down the East Coast.
